I have a 01 SCREW and want a stonger, better rear diff cover.
Anyone have any good or bad experiences?
I am looking at the MAC product ... more expensive but looks bulletproof and increases the fluid capacity.
Also, can I be sure that I have a 8.8" rear or were there other options?
Are there different gear oils that I should consider, or just stick with stock recommendations. I tow more than I should with a 150.
Most supercrews around here have 9.75 rear ends. As far as fluids go, I recommend factory, It's probably synthetic anyway. Just change it once in a while.
I think it depends on the package. 5.4L? Factory towing package?
The 8.8 cover is the same looking on both sides. The 9.75 Sterling rearend cover is kinda oblong. It isn't symetrical.
use 75w140 if you a towing a lot and dont use a chrome cover it just builds excessive heat use alum with fins and a fill hole go to perfomanceproducts.com for a really nic cover that increases fluid capacity
