Question 4.6 Triton V8 misfire

I am wondering if anybody has had this problem before. The engine will hesitate bad when it is first starting off and after awhile, it will run fine. Please... any info would be much appreciated.

the maf is in the aircleaner, just look for the connector going into the bottom of the cleaner. use only carb. cleaner to clean of the little wires. do not touch or scrap these wires just shoot them clean with carb. cleaner. also while u are doing this little job u need to disconnect the neg. battery cable. this will reset the computer instead of waiting for the drive cycle to complete and update your maf value.

Question

I cleaned my M.A.F. sensor and that did not work... I noticed my throttle body was a little dirty, but no real bad... I'm still stumped on this problem... could it be my O2 sensor...

Thanx, I'll try that this weekend. (You know the funny thing is that my truck, 97' F-150 XL has had NO Problems and my fiances truck, 01' Supercrew XLT( the nice one) is the one running like CRAP!) Oh yea... where is the TPS sensor located?

The TPS sensor is on the driver side of you throttle body. It will be directly opposite of where your throttle cable hooks up.

Ok... I'm about ready to give up! The problem is getting worse and I upset with myself because I am unable to successfully troubleshoot my problem. When The engine is sitting idle, it seems fine, but when i give it gas, it boggs down, especially when I am driving. I'm thinkin' bad fuel filter. Any suggestions?
