Question Droping a 4.2 into a ranger good ideal?

Hey people i have a 97 ford ranger xlt 5 speed that comes with a v6 3.0 witch i find dosent have enough power to it i was wondering if i should drop a 4.2L supercharged engine into it(the f-150 v6 engine but super charged) good ideal?

for cheaper you can probably do a 5.0 swap and supercharge that

Drop in the 302 instead, you could even drop in a FE motor for cheaper....at elat a 351 Windsor

Yeah, drop in the 5.0. I have heard of it being done, so I know it would work. Plus you get the benefit of having a V8 instead of the V6. Supercharge that and then you got a fast little truck.

don't forget about suspension and brake upgrades if you choose to go with a v8.
