I had it with the double talk from my dealer. He has no idea when my truck is scheduled to be built. I cancelled my order today and I plan to buy off the lot. The dvd , the lt tires are the culprits from what I understand. My question is ' Can the ford factory dvd be added to a truck with the rail system. Is the wiring harness in place or does the head liner have to be removed.????? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!
the ramp up of dvd production rates has been slow but is now (this week !!) in full swing (per my personal discussion with the plant manager at our plant which manufactures the dvd's)
otherwise. we are working on a harness that would be available through ford accessories that will let you add the dvd. but you will have to drop the front half of the overhead system and route the wires.
we plan to try the prototype THIS WEEK with my personal truck and document the process with pics and instructions. then get it quoted and then released through Ford. can't give a promise date but we are working hard on it ASAP.
I guess the good thing about the rail is that when new things become available, you can add them
so try waiting a week maybe and see.....?
but i will certainly make a post when the harness becomes available
