Question new truck

What would you do?? Just bought a 2004 F150 4x4 Crew cab on 2-29-04. One week later found a worn paint spot on the roof, and major rust on slip yoke going into transfer case. Took it back to dealership after a lot of tension and bad additudes, said they would repaint spot, and check out rust. first we were told to get the hell off the lot and never come back and that if we lived on the coast we had to expect rust. ,Anyway we just spent $32,000.00 on a 2004 truck. What recourse might we have or to we just have to be shafted on this one. Need advice..

I would advise the dealer that you will be contacting Ford directly. Be sure to tell them exactly what they said to you.
I was jerked around years ago on a vehicle problem. I wasted much time playing the dealership game. I wrote a letter directly to Pontiac and within days the dealer called me and promised a resolve. Guess what, no more problems. I would aim for a new truck with no problems. You know there is no better paint job than a factory one.
