E4OD chattering??
hey guys i have 129,xxx on my 90 f-150 300 E40d, the problem is this, it once in a while will rev. up slightly before going into 3rd gear. I pulled a car trailer yesterday with a 8' pickup bed on it, and i could tell it put a load on the truck, so i was underneath it today doing a oil change, greasing all the fittings. When i started it up, sounded like a chattering noise, couldnt really tell if it was motor, or the tranny. Sounds like the tranny, do converters chatter, or make a clanking noise, if so might a good tranny conditioner make the sound less noticible/help the tranny for a little longer, maybe 6 months or so???
