too auto dome light

1999 F150 XLT SC 4x4; dome lights comes on when driving until the vehicle reaches 15 mph, then there is a click (from the dash?) and the light goes out. When the vehicle slows down to 5 mph the light comes on again. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks

Use some wd-40 and lube the door latches. The swithces are in the latch and are sticking. Luben them up and cycle the door several times then relube the latch. Works for me.

seems too simple. why would the switch be related to the speed of the vehicle? I think it may be more than just a sticky switch. Anyone else have this specific problem?
