Lift Difficulty?

How easy would it be with someone with very little auto-related knowledge to add a body lift to their vehical following the directions that come with the kit? In my case it'll be 3" or 4" on a 1996 Explorer AWD.

It really isn't all that hard provided you do have some mechanical skills, follow the directions and have a second set of hands available for help. Also, having the right tools for the job is a plus, as well as having a good repair manual (make sure you tighten all of the bolts to the proper specs!!).

Don't go anything over 3" or you will experience some severe body roll on the corners.

Good luck and ask ?? if you get stuck.

the body lift is easy as hell! it's figuring out all the nit picking stuff that gets to be annoying....gas tank filler neck, steering column, t-case/tranny shift, bumpers, etc etc etc! Plan it all out first and then git-ur-done....although I disagree with body lifts I say go for it! Oh yea, and have fun

buy a performance accesories kit and go at it....it will come with everything you need to make it "right". i am not a fan of body lifts either, but follow the directions and youl be fine...its not hard.
