F350 short base

Want to put a gooseneck hitch on a F350 crew cab dually short-wheel base-hearing that it could be a problem with space. Does anybody have any suggestions-heard about a sliding hitch-do they work?
Thank you,
Leslie

My bosses wife has a 2000 F-250 super cab short bed with a gooseneck in it & has never had any trouble pulling her stock trailer.

Do you know where the ball sits-over the axle? My gooseneck is 6' wide-just worried about sharp (90 degree) turns.
Thanks-Leslie

the gooseneck should always be 2" in front of the axle for optimum weight distribution swbor not it doesn't matter.
