It depends on what you're doing. Let's say you have a 4x4 and switch the transfer case to low range when going off-road, then there is no problem. But, if you leave it in high range, then the tall tires with that ratio can put a load on the tranny. Same thing with pulling heavy loads.
I know many people with 35's and 3.73's that have no trouble with their tranny. It's all how you take care of it.
but i ran 35's before and i really never notice a power loss. What killed my tranny with the 38's was driving on the interstate through rolling hills. IN AND OUT of over drive constantly, but i never had any problems with 35's
