Unhooking EBPV

I unhooked the ebpv on my truck and didnt notice a difference at idel. Havent drove it yet though. What are the pros and cons of doing this and what does it actually do? thanks

Exaust Back Pressure Valve, helps warm the motor. It will take along time to warm the engine under winter conditions. The EBPV will open and close for a while until the motor gets to the right temp. By that time you'll be at work. The opening and closing of the valve, I've found, will eat up your fuel milage and can be real aggravating if your in a hurry to get some place.
