Please Help Decode Serial Number
i have a 1979 f150 4x4 can some one help with door tag?the sn. is f15hcea5555 wb is 133 color d type gvw f151 trans k axle 13x max gvw 06150 the last set is 1979 and 45.what does all this mean?? there is also a tag on the bed with different numbers what is that ? thanks rick

H = Engine = 351M
C = Plant where built > Ontario Truck Canada
EA -5555 = Consecutive build number (my Guess in Oct/Nov 78)
133 = wheelbase = 133"
F-151 = Pick-up code = 6150 lb Gvwr
Transmission =K =
Axle 13 = 2.75 open diff
x = ? (never seen this before)
1979 = year of truck
45= DSO (where truck was sent to ) = Lansing Michigan
You're missing a 3 digit body code with it possibly ending in 4

This truck has a 300 6 all original why does my door tag say came with v 8 engine???

the sn. on the tag matches the one on my title. the tag i am talking about is rivited on my cab not on my door???

what does all the numbers on the tag off of my bed mean??they are ba 4x dfc5976 ac bpn mir7 c 14 133 t vm a 280 any idea what tnese numbers mean????

That's called a buck tag and assembly line workers match the content of the build,, from that tag
One on the firewall & one on the bed underneath.
You better check that H (351M) for being a B (300)

If the door has been replaced then no.
The rating plate from the original door, should have been put on the replacement door.
Check the top rail of the frame on the passenger side for the
vin # stamped into it > it is between the rad & firewall.
