Sticky Power door lock
Passenger side rear power door lock seems to "stick" occasionally when actuated. Any ideas?

I would take the door panel off, and lubricate the latch and lock assembly in the passenger door. I would be willing to bet there is dirt or gunk in there thats making it bind.

Is there any on-line resource which could show me the steps involved in taking the panel off?

Sounds like a worn actuator.
Door panel removal:
1. Remove the window regulator switch plate.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the rear door handle trim cover.
4. Remove the rear inside door handle.
Remove the door handle bolt.
5. Remove the rear door trim panel screws at the bottom of the panel.
6. Do not pull directly outward. Lift upward and then outward to remove the rear door trim panel.

I have the same problem, except mine is the drivers side rear.
Is this a defect in lock actuators? Or is this just a couple odd coinsidences?

I just had to replace two of them @ 65K miles. They're relatively inexpensive...something like $35 each. I've never had one fail on any other vehicles.

23 bucks at fordparts.com. If I get reasonably comfortable enough to take the panel off, then I'll go ahead and swap the acutator.
