Hey all. What do you all reccomend for a new carb on a tired 360. I am getting ready to sell my truck and the carb on it now makes it sorda buck and drive rough. I want to stay cheap as possible. thanks and please let me know.
PS: I am looking for an easy bolt on, w/ no mods needed. 2bbl. Thanks!!
Hmm yea i see.... Would you recomend I use the solvent and actually dip the carb in that solution stuff? Thanks... I will go get the kit as soon as I get a response...
It depends on how much carbon build up you have. I would get a carb. dip can at the parts store if it was me and let the parts soak over night. Make sure you don't put any rubber or plastic parts in the soak. If the instuctions in the kit are not clear, let me know. I have some that really helped me. Good luck.

I got a 2v carb from the local junk yard when I switched my 240 for a 360. It had been sitting out in the dust and rain for years. I soaked it over night in acetone installed the rebuild kit and it was fine. If acetone and a kit can bring something this nasty back to life a normal carb should be a piece of cake.
Make sure that nothing is obstructing the throttle plates from closing all the way. If you look down through the carb with a flashlight the plates should be completely closed. If they aren't closed with the screw all the way out check the linkage for binding. Also make sure that the choke fast idle isn't keeping the throttle plates open.
Do you mean that black screw that has a small pin type thing, then a ball under neath that, that you screw in? I think thats what your talking about....right?
I am not sure what you are describing. The choke fast idle is on the side of the carb. When you pull out the choke or the automatic choke engages, a screw like the normal idle speed adjuster bears on a cam that increases the speed. The real point is to carefully go through the linkage and try to determine what is keeping the throttle plates from closing. You can even disconnect the linkage one piece at a time untill the plates close.
