Just looking to see what octane you run, and if you use any additives. Feel free to expound on the question in the reply (what additives, special reasons, general costs).
Thanks

I use the cheapest fuel money can buy(don't want the truck spoiled and getting hooked on the good stuff)
Currently the cheapest 87 Self Serve is $1.62/gallon.
With my Stop & Shop Card, its $1.57/gallon(about 0.57c too much for me) I'd be soooo happy if gas was a buck a gollon-even $1.30
87 I normally gas up at Chevron or BP (AMCO). My Expy's seems to have better performance from these stations. Also, I add techron or Lucas fuel treatments to my fuel system every other month to help the fuel injectors.
I run 87 octane and every oil change I add a big bottle of Chevron Techron injector cleaner at the next fill-up. It doesn't matter what brand gas I use,it seems to run the same on anything rated 87 octane.
87 because thats what ford recommends. If its a bone stock engine, anything else is not going to get any more performance. And on alot of vehicles, can actually hurt performance because the computer is programmed to use 87. (I know I'll get slammed for saying that, but its my opinon.)
Ooooops, I should have mentioned that I have a superchip program that requires higher octane. Prcrboy is correct, running anything other than recommended octane within a "stock" Expy is a waste and can actually be detrimental to the engine.
Alas, I can't use anything less than 93. I sure hope I never run into less than 93. I guess those two cans oc NOS octane booster in the back weren't such a bad investment.
85 Octane and my motor would be toast in less than 30 seconds.
