Centerforce clutches.

I'm putting a new engine into my 1997 Ranger (I blew up the engine), and while I'm in there, I thought I'd might as well replace some other components, namely the clutch. I've been looking at a Centerforce Stage 1. They don't make their special dual friction clutch for my truck, but I've heard that their clutches are great. Does anybody have any experience with Centerforce? Is the extra money spent worth it compared to stock clutch performance? Thanks.

Use a Luk Pro Gold clutch. It is heavier than the Centerforce and less expensive as well. It will feel just like stock. Let me know if you have any questions

i put a center force dual friction in my 84 I-6 4 speed, may have been overkill for that truck but i hauled silage and hay wagons with it,also had a 8 foot fisher on the front, had no probs and the service-tech guy was good on the phone as well.

Ran a centerforce in a 1ton with a 450hp big block pulling a 28ft gooseneck stock trailer, and weighing over 30k atleast once (yes I got caught by IDOT but they were my cows so they let me go), and that clutch lasted 2 to 3 times longer than other clutches I had used, that were supposed to be good (one of which lasted less than 6mons although I put close to 4000 miles a month on that truck) so even though you aren't able to use the dual friction in your setup they definatly impressed me
BTW that engine had enough torque that with a stock clutch pulling 2 250bu grain wagons I could smoke the clutch just by steping on the gas, and the centerforce is the only one that would hold it completely.
