Is it a SRW or a duallie? Front is definately a dana 60. If it is a single rear wheel it should be a Visteon 10.75. If it is a duallie, it should be a Dana 80. If you need more info, post what your diff tags read.
mountainhoundf350, can you get the numbers off of the tag just to make sure? It is possible that Ford could have started using Dana axles on the SRW again. But 03 still used Visteon axles so it would seem kind of odd. Even a pic in your gallery would help. If Ford is using Dana's for that application again that would be news to me. I would think if they did, at least they would use something a little heavier like a 70.

driveway is a bit muddy right now but i wiil try and get under it this afternoon. my f150 had a sterling. my 86 f250 also. this one does'nt look the same. it does look like the dana axels. i will get the #s though this afternoon.
As far as I'm aware, your rear axle should be a Ford Sterling 10.50" and your front axle should be a Dana 60 high pinion with reverse cut gears and ball joints. Ford switched from the 10.25" to the 10.50" Sterling with the new Superduty trucks. The Sterling axle does have kind of a similar shape to the cover as a Dana axle, I can see where the two could be confused.

mountainhound, looks like a couple of numbers were left out. The bottom row should read 3.73 or 3L73 10 5 4A09. The 10 5 indicates that you have a Visteon 10.5 axle. Socal is right, they do somewhat resemble a Dana axle, but not completely.
no boss thats all the #s thanks. so what do the new sterling change the diff cover becuase my other ones did'nt look at all like a dana. oh it is a 3.73 no l/s
