Electrical on 76 one ton.

I may be buying a 1976 one ton pick up in the near future depending upon a few things. The truck is in pretty good shape with a new 400 under the hood with a C6 tranny. From what he said about the truck it can run, but it needs some wireing help. The entire guage cluster at this point is missing. We may be able to find that in the shop, but all the wireing in the cab is fubared and we are assuming at this point that the wireing under the hood is fubared as well. What I need to know right now is around how much is it going to cost us to fix it. Me and my friends can do the work plus my room mates dade is a Ford Master mechanic if all else fails.

30 dollars for a chilton manual, about 10 in wire, some for wireing loom, 18 of busch light, and you should be set.

Look on ebay there is always people selling wiring manuals and also the factory manuals for a decent price. Sometimes these can be a lifesaver.

You could also go to the wrecking yard and snag the wiring harnesses from a donor. They are modular and probably easier to swap in a whole harness than patch what you have.
