One week update

After a week under the belt I'm happy to say that I really love this truck despite the following:

1) Day 1 - Keyless entry is DOA.

2) Day 2 - Discover a huge scratch on the instrument cluster window.

3) Day 3 - Airbag light flickers a few times and then stays on steady. Been on ever since.

4) Day 4 - Schedule an appointment to have the truck in on Day 6 to have above looked at.

5) Day 6 AM - Service discovers that the keyless entry pad wasn't plugged in at the factory. I pickup the truck after being told the entire instrument cluster will have to be replaced (no surprise) and that the airbag crash sensor is on order.

6) Day 6 PM - Service calls and informs me they'll need the truck back to tear out the instrument cluster to get a part number!!! Seems Ford can't tell them the part they need to order.

7) Day 7 - Mighty cold and windy out today. Unfortunately I now find the blower isn't functioning either - NO HEAT!!!! Thank God for the heated seats.

So next service visit will be an install for the Airbag sensor, tear apart the dash and put it back together (just for a part #), troubleshoot the blower.

What do you think about that?

I'm just glad I'm not dealing with the vibration and throttle body issues I keep reading about......yet.

thorin,

Man you must have a very high tolerance to irritation. Or possibly a very good sense of humor. I to love my truck and I have not had any of the posted issues nor the new ones you have. Hope eveything gets fixed right the first time and soon. Keep us posted on your service visits.
