my dpfe sensor when out on my escape and autozone said it was the egr valve but when I took it to the ford place they told me that it was the dpfe sensor that tells the egr valve to open and close mine was stuck closed I was getting 17mpg after I got it fixed I get 22mpg highway help out alot 63000 on it right now
check your DPFE sensor first before you check your egr valve.
i DON'T KNOEW EXACTLY WHAT IT IS BUT I know I was going 240 miles on a tank of gas and now I am going 292 miles and it only takes 13 gal to fill up so if i push it i can probley go 300 miles on a tank it cost me $203.00 to get mine fixed. It help me alot
DPFE = Delta ( or Differential) Pressure Feedback EGR sensor.
It is a small sensor that tells the vehicles PCM (Powertrain Control Module) how much the EGR valve is open.
Check with your dealer as there may be extended warranty coverage on it.
