White Castle!!!

White Castle is a hamburger chain that has the most "disgusting onion burgers" you can imagine. AND I LOVE THEM!

They are really great when you are coming out of the bar at wee hours in the morning! I know, that may not be a polically correct statement, but it is true. Can't stand them sober... but drunk, they are heaven!

They are also very popular amonst the "darker crowds".... and the company REALLY advertises towards them.

WHAT YOU CRAVE!

White Castle!!!

Jen, you're showing your age - or youth rather... way back in the 60's when the interstate system was just getting started and road trips were still a major adventure, Whitecastle was, what McDonald's is today.

I haven't had one of those burgers in about 25 years, but I still remember the experience. Guess I don't drink enough to crave another one....lol

White Castle!!!

Love my greasy-cheeseys. Anyone know why there are 5 holes in a white castle. Thats how many shots it took to kill the rat. they are AKA: sliders, gassies. anymore Around my area whitecastles boxes are like rolling papers. If the cops pull you over they know your drunk if they see the boxes. After eating you are like this

White Castle!!!

ROFLMAO! RJ is all over it! That's the only thing left open after the bars lock down around here. Large quantities of beer and a sack of "sliders" just seem to go together. Plus it's a sure fire way to gaurantee that no human will get within a 50 ft radius of you for at least 24 hrs!

They actucally sell White 30's here at the Wal-Mart lol. I haven't seen one of those places sence I lived in Minnie-Snow-ta. Back then you could get the onion bomb for .25 and the cheese slider for .35. Today at Wally World they sell for .65 each. Ok thats it......things to do today........buy new bearings and get Whities

Road Trip exactly. We don't have any in Eastern Pa. So we used to road trip after a party night(befor DUI laws) to Central NJ.We'd load up on the five hole treats and then return home fat and happy.

White Castle!!!

Years and years ago, we had only 1 White Castle here in the DC area. The big thing, many years ago was Little Tavern Shops. 25¢ burgers, "Buy 'em by the bag" was their motto. Open 24 hours a day, unshaven counter guys, sweatin' all the time. Ugh. But dayum, they were good after a night of drinkin' beer.

Sadly, most of them are gone, I think only 2 or 3 remain. Never wanted to go to a new one, the grill had to age for a year or so to get the right greasy taste to the burgers and onions.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-May-02 AT 09:34 PM (EST)]Funny as it sounds, that could be very profitable... I know of a couple of the "Famous" Philly Steakshops that will ship anywhere in the US, As well as the "White House" Hoagie Shop in Atlantic City.
