OK, ON A 88-92 FORD 2.9L FUEL INJECTED MOTOR. AND 2 FUEL LINES FROM THE GAS TANK. DOES THE FEED GOTO THE REGULATOR OR TO THE RAIL DIRECTLY. problem i am currently having is with the feed hooked upto the regulator it will not run. with the fuel to the rail it runs ok but not right and loads up too bad with gas. and help?????
The feed goes to the rail, and the return line goes to the regulator. You might want to pull the vacuum line off the regulator and see if you find gas. Applying high pressure to the regulator may have damaged it....
is not clogged in fact it has a vacume but the regulator does not push any out. the only way the fuel gets back to the tank is from the suction getting created in the tank from the pump
update.... new regulator installed today. this one spits fuel so it must help a little. got the timing set " I THINK" with spout pulled set at 10 deg befor "as per manual" and with spout in it jumps to 20 befor . i hope this is normal. anyway, no difference in the way it runs. seems to be a never ending story.
