well i got my floor board yesterday.
i was wondering if someone could give me a little step by step on the process of replaceing the panel.
i have never done anything like this before.
i do have access to a mig welder with .025 wire , a cutting torch , angle grinders , cut off wheels for grinder, and various clamps ect.
i am a quick learner and am not afraid to try anything.
any advice would be appreciated
Thanks all
I'm doing the same thing to my 77 this week. If I can get my camera to work I'll post some pictures. I'm not using repair panels just making my own from 18 gauge metal.
that would be cool. i have a patch panel . cut most of floor out allready. am going to lap the patch and cab about 1 inch. i will then weld from both sides. epoxy prime and then roll on bed liner . i think it should be ok. anyone with more experience see a better way to go please feel free to add thier thoughts . i have very minimal welding experience and this is all a first time thing for me so please go easy on me lol
