upgraded my oem fog light and fried the oem fog light switch...
most likely pulling to much current thru the switch. Has anyone
tried to repair the oem fog light switch??

or has anyone tried to mod the switch to handle more current??

any thought experiences on repair or mod would be helpful!

PS: I realize now that a relay would have been a good idea...

 

You answered your own question. Replace the switch and install a relay to handle the current load.

 

Here's a circuit diagram that should handle any wattage lamps you throw at it(360 watts max).
