My 85II ,The tail and brake lights work as well as the hazards.
All bulbs are good but i have no signals or back up lights
Mysignal light switch is new and works fine i did replace a wire from the rear of the fuse panel that was fried and replaced it.
But with the ignition on and the signal turned on poof goes the fuse(15 amp).
Obviously a short?
I did notice the backup lights and signals share a circuit.
There is also a wire from the signal flasher to the signal and then spliced to the wire going out of the firewall .
If this is wired the same as my 87 you have a VERY strange problem. If you can flash all four turn signal bulbs by turning on the emergency flashers, the turn signals should also work just fine unless the multifnction switch is shorted internally. Is it the multifunction switch thats new?? What does your wiring diagram show is different between E-flashers & turn signals?? When you put it in reverse does the fuse blow? If you remove the turn signal flasher, does the fuse blow?
Well i got them working .
the truck has 2 flashers .
There was a wire coming off of the flasher and spliced in to the signals wire that was my problem i just un hooked it and they worked i believe it was for some external accessory...
The fuse would only blow when i engaged the turn signal.
Again Thank you ...
