300 6 Carb Problems???
I need help with my 1978 F150 Flairside pickup 300 -6 CYL. When I shut off the truck and wait a second or so it will turn over if I turn the key to the on position [not all the way to start]. Could this be gas leaking or dropping from the carb?

It's probably your idle set too high and the engine hasn't quite stopped turning when you turn on the ignition again. Have had plenty of cars/trucks do that if the idle isn't just right.
Make sure your engine is in time, the mixture is set correctly and the idle speed is correct. If it still does it, wait a few more seconds.

I don't think I explained the question right. After having the engine off (even for several hours), when I turn the key to the first notch, (without hitting the starter) the engine turns over just enough to make the fan turn over (a revolution or two).
