If you just take your carb number to the auto parts store they can get you the correct kit with that number and it also helps if that carb was originally on the motor and that motor was factory in the vehicle that all helps. But you can get the correct kit with just the carb # off the base. Hope this info helps ya.

D8PZ-9A586-H .. Carburetor Kit (Motorcraft CT-1194)

Pick a carb tag number that fits your application (the kits are all the same).

D8PE-9510-DLA = 3 speed Automatic Transmission

D8TE-9510-BVA = 3 Speed Manual Transmission

D8TE-9510-CKV = 4 Speed Manual Transmission

Hmm, this thread is a year old, hope the OP finally found a carb kit!

Someone else might need the info, though.

I know this is an old thread, but it came up in a google search so I'm gonna go ahead and bring it back to life...

NumberDummy, are you saying that any carb with 7051SA stamped on the base can use any of those part numbers for a rebuild kit? The carb on my truck ('78 F150) has a sticker on it, showing that it was rebuilt in 2002. There's a name on it, I presume to be the company that rebuilt it... Uremco. I believe it has to be rebuilt again, so I want to make sure I get the correct kit.

Will just any kit for a Carter 1 barrel work, or do I need to look for a specific one?
