A4LD transmission problem

A4LD transmission problem
My transmission just decided to quit working altogether.
As I was accelerating, the transmission acted like someone just put it into neutral. Nothing works forward or reverse.
I think I lost pump pressure suddenly. there was no other mechanical noise associated with it. No excessive metal is in the pan, just the usual black fine iron residue on the magnet.
Tranny has about 185000 miles on it.
Any help as to what I might look at will be appreciated.

Turns out it is the torque converter splines that drive the gears ( the inner shaft splines) have stripped out.
I will probably rebuild the rest of it any way since it is out. Any recommendations on brand of torque converter and rebuild kits?
