Has anyone used the lemon law to get their truck replaced?

OK - My take

Not sure what your situation is - But my 97 f-350 - 66,000 miles -- had some major problems, so finally, I had had enough - I had a few dealings with the salesman so I went to him to discuss the the best way to handle - the lemon law or would the dealer make it worth my while to trade into another truck.....or else lemon law and a chevy next time.....
He said Ford had an assistance program for occasions like this... After contacting a buddy who worked for the same dealer Family, but at their chevy house, he said "get out the paper and write to the dealer, ford customer relations and anyone else I could think of to tell them how dis-satisfied I was."

Long story short - Ford gave me a fair price for my old truck - Ford assistance pitched in a couple of grand - and the dealer cut below invoice - all in all - I felt like they tried real hard to please me - but remember, I still paid FORD for the new vehicle - meaning Nobody LOST any money here except me.....(usually I try to drive these things about 8-10 yrs at least)
Now... I figured that after the time of chasing around the Lemon law and any legal help($$) and time involved - Ford assistance was the best route to take... Just my opinion!!

In 96 I bought a 97 f-150. It shook at 65mph the minute I drove it off the lot, not much but is was there. The dealership worked on it four of five times. They did everthing from balancing the drive shafts to a complete rear end assembly. I had enough and got some information from the Ma. attorney generals office.
I told the service I wanted a new truck or my money back. This was during the time they didn't have enought 17" rims to go around and ordering a new one was 12-16 weeks away. Ford sent a frame rep down and he did some testing. The mechanic was an old friend of mine and he went during the testing. The rep said it was almost acceptable but my buddy said no way would I take the truck the way it was. I put 15000 on that turck waiting for the new one and it didn't cost me a dime, just time. Ford made me happy, but evertime I needed service I got taking care real good!:O) It is easy to check on your states lemon laws, they are all on line.

In 1995 purchased my F350 crew cab loaded paid with check no financing ,so no help from finance co. the problem was brakes. my dealership worked on it 7 timesand no help .
I contacted Ga. consumer affairs and then the old truck was swapped out for a 1996 crew cab also loaded. and all was well for 2 years till I took it in for repair in 1998 and would you believe they totaled it on a test drive !!! So they gave me a 1999 F350 crew cab . Now I do my own service and love this truck .
Ga consumer affairs gave me all the info to contact the right people at Ford.
