does adding an x pipe improve our trucks? do the motors produce any noticeable gains in an naturally aspirated motor?

While it certainly will not hurt anything, I do not believe our motors benefit from crossover pipes (H and/or X Pipes) as long as you have a free flowing aftermarket exhaust. The X-pipe is designed to provide additional scavenging on the non-firing side as exhaust rushes down the other side of the X. The ignition pattern on our engine is even so you would not realize the same benefits as a V-8.

I installed an X-pipe on my exhaust... i think it helped more with back pressure... but it seems like it flows alot smoother now though....
