It is not only that, but they don't want wind mill farms because they kill birds. They don't want solar power becasue the huge solar panels destroy the habitate of the land they are placed on. Which leaves you wondering what source of energy do they want us to use.
Now though most large scale propane companies are being bought out by electric co-op's and larger electric companies, that way they get your dollar one way or another. My dad has been in propane for 30 years and he hasn't complained about prices once. As a matter of fact compared to the rates of other petroleum fuels it has been the most stable price for fuel in my opinion.
It's something I have been around for all my life so i guess that makes me partial though.

thats the fuel of choice for many around here! dont cost nothin but a little hard work if u know someone who needs trees cut up and hualed off. natural gas is piped to the house but its too high in my opinion so just use to for the water heater and oven. plus ... cant beat the smell of hickory
