You will get better results posting in the 97-03 forums. we are mainly limited to the engine not as well versed as some of those in that previously mentioned forum. Or the tranny foum might help out a bit also

And WELCOME!

Disclaimer: I’ve got a manual transmission and have never paid any attention to the shifter/linkage on the automatics in the F150’s so I probably have no clue what I’m talking about.

That said, I have done this conversion on a couple of other vehicles over the years and it has always been an easy conversion. Buy a floor shifter, cut a hole in the floor board, fabricate a mount, hook up the cables and you have a working shifter. Don’t forget to rewire the park/neutral safety switch from the column location to the new shifter or your truck will start in gear. To remove the old shifter, use a punch and drive out the pivot pin.

Yea, sigma sounds about right. You just buy the shifter, mount it to the floor, and re-route wiring and crap like that. Then test it.

Ah yes, sounds like the instructions for my lift kit.

Please read all directions before begining the installation process.

Step 1. Remove all stock suspension components.
Step 2. Install Fabtech suspension components.
Step 3. Good luck.

But seriously Sigma, My brother just bought a Hurst conversion for his Dodge and he was able to put it in on a Saturday. Instructions are much better.

Sigma,

I'm just a goofball i guess. I'm always changing my signature and putting stupid things in there. For instance, copy and past the first link I have into your address line, and see what you get...funny as heck
