98 Mountaineer, rumble when turning
I have a 98 mountaineer, 5.0L AWD with 133,000 miles. Starting approximately 2 months ago I began hearing a low rumbling noise while turning at low speed under power. (It is similar to the noise a tire will make on a rubberized floor when turning the steering wheel while not moving , although deeper.) It occurs in either left or right turns and is not present under any other conditions.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Do some searching as there is lots of information here regarding tire noises that you will have to sort through to get an accurate match for your noise.
Recently, we had the tire noise on a X with a limited slip differential and what fixed the noise was changing the fluid and additive. Your noise might be different.
