I have the '01 Superduty. It has an oval opening in the overhead console. There are metal tabs inside, one on each side. Any idea what is supposed to go in here?
I believe that is for a garage door opener. My 2002 has one and the manual shows that you can put a garage door opener in the compartment and then line up one of the tabs with the button that you push on the opener. After that you can just push up on the door of the compartment to open your garage door without opening the compartment.
