Well right now I own a 84 F150 but there is a good chance that in 2 months that I can get a 85 F250 for $500. What do you guys think? It's 2WD. has a 5.8 4V H.O. and is in basically perfect shape. it was a farm truck and stored in a barn most or all of it's life and has minimal rust on it. What kind of good things could come out of this motor? I was told by a few people that the motor was worth the $500 alone. but the box on the truck is worth that as well. Would I not enjoy having a F250?
I had a 1978 F150 as a second car for 12 years. Whenever it was used it was always overloaded! The brakes always felt too weak, even when they were new! Towing required advance planning for any stops!!!
Then I got a 97 F250 HD as a replacement. This truck stops much better, hauls topsoil level with the bed, without knowing it's there, and tows the boat as if it were a string!! All I can say is why do they make the 150's??? you just might sell the 150 if you get thre 250!
So now I got a 250 CC that hauls the kids too.
