Problems with AOD
I have a 1986 Ford F150 4x4 w/302 and an AOD trans. The problem is, if you pull it down in 1st, and start to accelerate, then shift up the the next gear(D), it wont shift until I let off the gas. I stayed in the throttle once to see if it just shifted that much higher and it was almost up to 6,000 rpm's, so I backed off and it shifted right away. What would cause this problem? It is a remanufactured tranny with about 10,000 miles on it. Thanks

I bought a G-Tech Pro so I was just trying it out to see what my truck had. But it did it over a year ago once when I was messing around, and I just never shifted it after that. Another weird thing is that the tranny will totally free wheel if you let off in first gear, if the shifter is down in first gear and the revs are up. When it slows to about 10 mph or so, then it will catch again and you can feel engine breaking happening.
