I was so excited to install the Lime Green Diable Predator, especially after reading how strong it was in these posts. I had experience w/ a SuperChips Tuner on my 8.1L '02 Avalanche, so I knew about turning off all power using devices, applying E-brake, Etc.....But no matter how many times I have tried, I cannot get the Predator to ackowledge the "Ignition Turned On." I have tried starting both ways-ignition off & on....the Predator powers up upon insertion but then ceases to recognize my cycling of the key.
I did note that the starter was disabled by having it plugged when I finally tried turning the key all the way. The instrucions I read weren't too clear on whether to have the key in the off or onposition when insertingthe plug. I was concerned that turning the key off turns the house lights on for quite awhile-there is no "dome defeat" feature to prevent that.
Does anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks, very frustrated in Los Angeles....

2004 (flashed in Nov 2003) 6.0 Powerstroke CrewCab 4X4 SB
Air Raid Intake.
It appears to be V 7r33 whatever that means & Peggy at Motorhaven was expecting it to read something like 2.8....The manual that came w/ it was "revised Jan 04." which sounds pretty recent, and again my Ford flash was done in NOVEMBER 2003.
Thanks,
JM
TB...
frustrating when a new toy doesn't work right away...
but be patient - I was - and it was WELL worth the wait :-)
YOu said last flash you got was November?
I thought I heard must have latest flash, but I also heard that some have worked on older 03's without latest flash IIRC...
Good luck... Ken and Peggy WIL take care of you - they're the "good guys"
Now, if this rain will clear and I can use ALL that extra power

My 2004 6.0 Powerstroke was reflashed at dealer prior to delivery around Thanksgiving and I keep asking if there's any newer flash; in fact I had the truck serviced for its second service at 5500 miles last week at the local Ford dealer, and they checked it-said it's current....so I don't know what to believe.
