i've got a 95 f150 with a 300 6 and was wondering which kind, brand of muffler or glasspak i should get for a reasonable price. i only make minimum wage. i want something that will improve my mileage which is crap right now and give me some power. i also want a good ballsy sound
Hey welcome to FTE!....well it depends on how loud you want to go...i have a 302 myself with flowmasters....since you make min wage, i would go with some glasspacks...if you search this site and type in glasspacks you will find alot of info about them...and what sizes you need to get, that should help you out a whole lot....
if you are wanting a loud sound go for a short 18" or less glasspack or spend alittle more money and get a/some dynomax race bullets if you want low rumble you could go the same route but get longer glasspacks or bullets 23"+ then throw some 18" tips on the pipes
o ya and should i get the pipe to exit in front of the tire or just leave it behind. will it give me more power if its in front?
i was thinking of cutting the cats of and just putting in some pipe to maybe see if ican get some better mileage only (13mpg stock)
everyone i talk to agrees it would probably work except the to mechanics i've been talking to. they both said just leave them and put on a better muffler. i do only have 160000km on it.
go on ebay and you can get a flowmaster 40 series for about $40. make sure you get the right diameter. you can even leave the pipes stock and just switch up the mufflers.
