Question Moisture Problem?

I have a 1971 ford f-100 swb truck. the bed has been sprayed with line-x and has a soft tonaeu cover on it. if u know these trucks then u know that the gas tank goes right behind the seat and i have nowhere to mount speakers and an amp. do u think that i would have a problem with moisture ruining my speakers and amp if i put them in the back of the truck. i am going to run 2 12s and an amp in special built boxes. what do u think?

Superman71,

I've seen a couple of guys that had systems in the back of the truck....not sure if they had much prob with the moisture. They all just sealed the bed as best as possible. I'd just keep an eye on it.

You can mount them under the seat. I have a friend who had them there in his 1971 F100.

For safety look at getting fuel cell that mounts in between the frame rails at the back of the truck. They did one on the show Trucks on an old C10 Chevy they restored and you get a flip down license plate bracket and that is wher the filler neck is. Much safer for you and then plenty of room for the Subs!!!!!!!
