My Bronco ABS light has been on awhile so I finally got around to pulling the codes, etc. The whole time I was thinking it was the sensor on the right front wheel as the light came on right after I pulled the hub and replaced the seals. So I figured it got dirty. So yesterday I pulled the hub off (I was rotating tires anyway) and yes...it was nasty. So I cleaned it up and wiped down the ring on the hub as well. I pulled the neg. battery terminal to reset the puter. No luck. Still have the ABS light.
So, on to pulling codes. My manual (Hayes) directions are not very good but after some searching on here and what not I think I got the codes. I pulled a 2 6.
From my crappy manual that gives me a Isolation valve open or shorted rear wheels.
So my question is:
Does anyone have any ideas on what to check? Any input is appreciated. I really dont wanna have to replace the HUD?? unit as I know it is expensive and bleeding it is not a home mechanic type thing from what I have read.
