i have a few rust spots on my 1990 F-250
theyre not too bad jsut a little annoying and i dont want to have serious problems later like eating a hole through the metal. i also dont want to spend money on a paint job just yet, i want to get everything else fixed before i worry about the body. i was just wondering how i can remove the rust. i checked out that ZERO RUST stuff, but thats to keep rust from forming, mines already formed i just want to get rid of it.
thanks

Sand to bare metal. Treat with a rust converter (i.e Metal Ready, Picklex, Rust Mort, & etc.). Paint to provide protection.
Regular rattle can primer is not waterproof. Epoxy primer will provide the needed protection. If you're not set up to do a 2-part paint then Zero Rust might be the ticket to protect the metal until you are ready to do the finish work.
i was wondering what stores might carry zero rust
the first thought that came to mind was home depot, but im not sure if they would. if anyone has a store they get it from, help a lad out
