And I got a flat! So there I was last night at 1am changing my tire in mud...if that isn't a good time then what is?
This was the first time I've been off roading in this truck and I did a lot of dough nuts. I put it in 2wd over the same muddy terrain to see how it would do and I just stopped so it needed 4wd.
I know how well you guys eat up pictures so check out the Muddin' gallery I put up a couple minutes ago. I'm all stock so don't get too excited
It's not nearly as fun to clean up as it is to get dirty - huh? That's awesome man - more power to ya!!!!!! That's definitely part of what trucks are for!
Just wait until you get some aggressive and wide tires on her. It's really cool when you spin tires turn wheel. Ten seconds later the mud is still falling from the sky. That way even the roof is coated real good.
I would like to do a 6" w/ 37's...By the way, for those who viewed the gallery and in it I mentioned I got a flat tire - I checked out the tire today and the valve stem is missing...got yanked out or something. Is this common? I'm so thankful I don't have to pay for a new tire...
The paint looks great. When I purchased the truck the dealer explained "The Protector" package that included buffing teflon in to the clear coat so I went with it. I also got under coated. Still lookin beautiful, although I don't think I'll go off-roading for a long time...atleast not until I get it higher up
Those valve stems are really kind of easy to loose. All you have to do is hit a root or something and just wipe it off. It probaly didn't pull out, but broke where it goes thru the rim. That's the weakest part of the tire/rim combo and they "fatigue " easy. That's why they change them every time you get tires mounted. If you are serious about "mudding" consider getting metal valve stems installed, they are a two piece assembly with rubber gaskets, like a hollow bolt.
