I doubt the discount parts places will have them. Try a truck specialty shop or someplace dealing with custom off road wheels and tires.

Just wait until you get some aggressive and wide tires on her. It's really cool when you spin tires turn wheel. Ten seconds later the mud is still falling from the sky. That way even the roof is coated real good.
I'm there! BTW, 99 sd, you have diamond plate dead pedal in your sig. Where did you get it? custom? Online?

I am also interested in knowing too. From day one I felt the need for a dead pedal..I might make one myself but it couldn't hurt to ask about yours...

That has been in my signature for a long time. I was wondering when the question was coming.

I made it myself.

I got an Excursion for the wife. I need to make another one. When I do I'll take pictures and try to detail some instructions.

Now that it's starting to warm up, I can get outside again.

I'm more into wood stuff than metal. I like to craft my own stuff though. It wasn't that hard. I did drill through floor and bolt it in. That was a trick, I was by myself. Getting a bolt started and tight when you can't hold it takes some time.

Cool!

99 sd,
I would appreciate that.
I HATE the dead space and looked around some for a dead pedal. I never know what to do with my left foot... off road I'm always stompin' like I'm mashin' gears and on road trips it falls asleep because I jam it in the door pocket - it's uncomfortable in the corner.

I'm pressin against this weak flimsy metal some where in the deep corner...I checked it out to make sure it was alright, and it is, so that is my "Dead Pedal" until I make something.
