I stopped by the dealer today to pick up a part and ask about the moan/droan issue (1500-1800 RPM) with my truck. The cause of the moan/droan still has not been determined for the 4x4's. However, my discussion with the parts guy was enlightening. I asked about the recommended oil for my first oil change at 1000 miles. He said go with Amsoil. Otherwise, 15w40.
During the course of our conversation, he said to make sure that I sampled my oil. He stated that the injectors in #2 and #6 cylinders have been failing at a very high rate. He said the 2004 6.0L PSD is keeping him busy with injector orders. I thought these problems had been corrected.
Anyone else having injector problems along this line or heard of these issues returning ?
the injector prblems arent limited to Ford anymore im seeing quite a bit of problems out of them on the International side. Our problem is that we are out of stock of the injectors everywhwere in the country and i have 2 trucks getting 8 injectors that will have to be down til the injectors arrive whenever that is???????????
