On Christmas eve I picked up a 2000 F-150 4x4 SC Off Road with 37000 miles on it. I love this truck. The dealer gave me a 90 day warranty and it coming to a end soon. The thing that bothers me is when I accelerate hard and let off and the truck goes back to OD it will tach up a little and hit overdrive kinda hard it will sometimes do this if I take it out manually with the button on the lever.
My question is am I being paranoid? I'm use to buying new with a new truck warranty. I have checked the fluid and it's a perfect pink color is it normal for it to shift like this into overdrive. It doesn't feel like a slip I've had those before just shifts hard into overdrive.
Under normal acceleration feels smooth when going into od.
Wants150, it doesnt sound like there is a problem. If you feel there is one have the dealer look at it.I would change the fluid anyway,if it has not been done yet.
