223 six is leaving
I'm pulling the 223 six out of my 62. It has been completely rebuilt. Bore job, crank turned, everything new except the cam. Problem is I think the head is cracked. It never stopped puffing white smoke. When I had the valve job done, the head was supposedly magna fluxed and pronounced sound. Any way I have an opportunity to buy a later (78 or 79) F150 with good running gear, body is wrecked. If anyone close to Waxahachie, TX (south of Dallas) wants this six, it's yours for $200. You have to pick it up. It is still in the truck as of now, but as soon as the ground dries up a little, I'm pulling it. Comes complete with a 3-speed (rebuilt also) new clutch, and new motor mount rubber. Good generator too. Engine has under 10 hours running in my drive, no hiway or road miles. I have another head also to go with it. Don't know the condition. I even have another motor with a granny gear four speed I could throw in.
