Axle Nut Size

Have to replace my front HUBS - what do I need for a socket (Size) to get the axle bolts off???

It would probably help if I said it was a 1997 Explorer!!!!!

Probably 2 3/8 inch about $10 at pep boys. But it shouldn't be on that tight. Try using a pair of slip joint pliers, that's what I do.
