Anybody know what would cause power loss when an engine is up to running Temp..
When it is cold and cool it has quite abit more take off (get up and Go) But when it is to Running Temp It is like it lost 50 HP......

When the engine is cold the computer advances your timing and richens the fuel mixture based on what sensors or telling it, but as the engines warms it starts retarding the timming and reducing the fuel and also as the intake air temp rises, it does anticipating spark knock and emisiions problems. this is a nornal function but if it seems to drastic then start by checking for codes, cooling system, and just a good once over to make shure everthing is working correctly, like BILLYBOB said it could be lots of things, good luck DW
might need to give it a tune up and reset the timing. get it up to its operating temp disconnect spout connector and set timing to 10* btdc. might have a clogged cat or bad fuel filter. hows your tranny, could it be slipping after it gets warmed up?
Tranny is good just Clunky I think the Torque Converter is Clunking somthing is clunking in there somewhere in that area anyways, Who knows. But I am thinking the Cat. I do not think has ever been changed. Thanks for the Help.
