Why so thin skinned?

Hmm...

Seems to me I remember one of my mentors stating:

"If everyone had the same tastes and philosophy on life, we would all be trying to sleep with the same people - and then life WOULD be hell..."

The virtual nature of the internet society carries with it a grain of sand. It is well to remember that:

a) What you send may be read by someone with a totally different perspective about it.

b) What you read may have been written by someone with a similar perspective.

c) Anything read or sent may be Untrue, Uninformed, Unintentional, or based on incomplete information or consideration of everything involved.

d) Message boards are not a life threatening battle of honor!

e) Ten cents worth of humility can save a thousand bucks worth of hassles from happening.

f) Always remember that there is a living, breathing, intelligent individual with feelings at the other end of the internet connection.
-When you post a message, try asking yourself this one simple question:

"If I were talking to this person face to face, would I REALLY say it just that way?"

- Points to think about, especially since it is IMPOSSIBLE to "talk behind someones back" on an internet message board...

But that is not what I see here.

I see misunderstanding happening, plain and simple.
