2001 Excursion 7.3 4x4
Hi,
I've been lurking in the background enjoying reading through the various forums soaking up wisdom from all the helpful people here but I figured it was time to sign up.
this is my first Ford vehicle and first truck that I've owned....wife is one of those "bow tie" only glad...but I still love her 
I got lots of questions about things I'd like to do with my truck to improve/customize what I have but I'll wait and post those in the Excursion forum.

Hi El_Coqui and Welcome to FTE. Your at the right place if your have Questions about your Excursion.
The folks here are a pretty knowledgeable and are always willing to help out one of their fellow Ford owners who has a problem or a question with their Ford.
There are a fair amount of Excursion owners here who have mods or done things to enhance their rides, as I am sure you will notice when you are tolling around the forum. Don't be afraid to ask out loud for ideas, I am sure the community will have a ton of ideas for you.
Hope you enjoy FTE and dont forget to join your local chapter and upload some pics of your Excursion to your garage. Cheers

I'm working on it...slowly but surely...one of her coworkers saw the truck yesterday and made it very clear that if I ever sold the truck(not likely) he wanted it....all of the sudden she realized I had a much more valuable vehicle than she realized at first.

Well its alot of suv. Thats what I would buy if I wanted an suv. A diesel one for sure. Bet she will want to drive your excursion all the time now haha

Oh she has....she has a Tahoe right now but she seems to enjoy the oomph of the torque with a diesel engine.

haha imagine if you do some mods to the 7.3. It will have some more oomph. That engine is choked down so badly in stock form. You can open her up and make it come alive. It aint no powerhouse compared to some of the other powerstrokes but it will get decent mpg's and power for what ya want. Imagine all the groceries she can fit in that excursion! haha
